Next Friday (11) and Saturday (12), the trajectory of singer, musician, and composer Belchior returns to the screens of Ceará's cinema. The fiction miniseries "ALLUCINATION", produced by Urca Filmes and co-produced by Ceará's Gavulino Filmes, will be shown for free at the Dragão Cinema in Fortaleza, as part of the Rememorações program, celebrating 13 years of the cultural equipment. With sessions scheduled for 7 p.m. on both dates, the audience will be able to follow, on Friday (11), in Room 2, episodes 1 and 2, followed by a debate with part of the miniseries' cast. Meanwhile, on Saturday (12), episodes 3 and 4 will be shown.
According to the series' producer-general, Leo Edde, Belchior always raised the flag for the recognition of talents and Ceará's culture. "Therefore, from the series' conception, one decision was non-negotiable: this story needed to be realized in Belchior's land," he said. The executive director of Gavulino Filmes, Iris Sodré, highlights that the coproduction represents an important strategy to strengthen regional audiovisual and bring large productions closer to the territories that inspire their stories. "We believe in the importance of coproductions. They enable great stories to be told alongside the territories that inspired them. Audiovisual preserves cultural heritage, generates jobs, develops talents, and creates bridges between different Brazilian states," Sodré concludes.
Based on the book Belchior - Apenas um Rapaz Latino-Americano (Belchior - Just a Latin American Boy) by journalist Jotabê Medeiros, the miniseries debuted on Canal Brasil on August 29 and revisits the trajectory of one of Brazil's main songwriters through his relationship with Ceará. Created and written by Eduardo Albergaria and Daniel Dias, with direction by Albergaria, the production is divided into four 45-minute episodes. The narrative follows different moments in the artist's life, from his rise in Brazilian music to his decision to break with his own artistic identity.
To bring the audiovisual work to life, the entire production team was largely made up of Cearans, from the production and cast to suppliers, equipment, locations, and local services. Additionally, the entire miniseries was filmed in the state of Ceará, with shoots taking place in different municipalities across the state, with support from local governments, institutions, and partners. Besides contributing to the work's realization, the initiative boosted the creative economy and reinforced the participation of professionals from the state in audiovisual production.
Ticket pickup takes place at the Dragão Cinema's box office starting at 6 p.m., and admission is free, subject to room capacity.
