Walking the Red Army Trail in Luding, Sichuan, retraces the epic 120-kilometer march that changed the fate of a nation. 91 years ago, over 1,000 Red Army soldiers slogged through heavy rain in straw shoes for 24 hours straight to reach the Luding Bridge. Built during the 18th century, this Qing Dynasty suspension bridge spans the Dadu River held up by 13 iron chains stretching over 100 meters.

Countless artworks have depicted the Long March, etching these historic memories as eternal monuments through artistic echoes. Standing on these chains today, you feel the weight of that sacrifice – and understand why this place is still remembered.
