Vladimir Putin extended his greetings to the participants and guests of the ninth Global Fishery Forum.
The message reads, in part:
“Over the years, your regular assemblies have earned a strong professional and expert reputation, become a fixture in the industry calendar, and brought together the business community, specialists from relevant government agencies and enterprises, and the scientific community around shared objectives.
I would like to note that more than 300 companies from dozens of countries are participating in this year’s forum. Such broad representation provides an opportunity for a comprehensive discussion of pressing issues related to the development of the fishing industry, the sustainable use of the World Ocean’s resources, and ensuring global food security.
I am confident that the sessions, roundtables, seminars, and other events on the forum’s packed agenda, including the traditional Seafood Expo, will be a success and help strengthen international cooperation and foster new mutually beneficial contacts.”
