During the performance, approximately 40 artists, including musicians and dancers, will take the stage at the UFSM Convention Center. Under the direction of maestro João Batista Sartor, the Chamber Orchestra will have a formation consisting of a string section (with violins, violas, cellos, and double basses) and members of the UFSM Percussion Group. Among the musicians, soprano Juliana Pires will also participate, who will be responsible for performing the "Habanera," the most famous aria from the opera.
The ballet choreography was freely adapted by Bia Isaia, director of Ballet Ivone Freire and creator of the Dançando para Educar project. The main roles, which constitute the central love triangle of the plot, will be played by dancers Ludmila Feijó (as the gypsy Carmen), Robson da Cruz (as Captain Don José), and Patrick Moraes (as bullfighter Escamillo).
