Inform the university community
The Federal University of Goiás (UFG) informs that, to date, there have been no incidents related to the events circulating on social media this week. The Institution warns against the dissemination of rumors, content produced by artificial intelligence (AI) with improper use of the UFG brand, and other forms of disinformation.
The UFG emphasizes that institutional communications are disseminated exclusively through its portal and official channels.
On Friday, October 9, 2026, academic activities are maintained, without institutional suspension of classes.
The University has a monitoring and security structure, which includes surveillance teams and protocols of cooperation with the Federal Police (PF), the Military Police of the State of Goiás (PM-GO) and the Civil Police of the State of Goiás (PC-GO), among other public security forces.
The UFG remains attentive to the situation and advises the university community to activate the SOS button on the Minha UFG Segurança app in emergency situations.
