The producer prices for agricultural products were 7.0% lower in August 2026 compared to August 2025. In July 2026, the rate of change compared to the previous year was -13.7%, and in June 2026, it was -13.9%. As the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) further states, the producer prices for agricultural products increased by 5.5% in August 2026 compared to July 2026, the strongest month-on-month increase since March 2022 (+13.1% from the previous month), when, among other things, the grain prices surged after the beginning of the Russian attack on Ukraine.
