The President congratulated the artists, veterans, and staff of the State Academic Kuban Cossack Choir on the company’s 215th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“Over the years, your renowned choir has travelled a remarkable path, making a significant contribution to popularising the unique folklore heritage of the Cossacks and writing brilliant chapters in the history of both national and global musical art.
It is heartening that the present ensemble carefully preserves its distinctive identity and its commitment to high artistic ideals, while building upon the remarkable traditions of its predecessors. You introduce audiences to the finest examples of folk art, with its profound content and soulful melodies, hold them spellbound with a diverse repertoire and superb mastery of performance, and consistently champion talented young artists.
I am confident that, drawing upon such a rich cultural and spiritual heritage, you will continue to uphold the high standards befitting one of Russia’s oldest and most celebrated choral ensembles.”
