Publishing your article on Insubornável
You can write and publish original pieces here. Open to anyone interested — professional journalist or not. Here is what to expect before you create your account.
Who can publish
Anyone interested. Our Editorial Statute (art. 9.1) guarantees the space to journalists and lay authors alike, with post-moderation by the newsroom — no prior filtering.
What the sign-up will ask
After creating the account, a short form will ask you for:
- A byline (the name that appears on the article).
- A valid e-mail (used to recover the password; not published).
- The type and number of an identity document (Passport, National ID, Driver License or Other). The data stays protected; only released by Icelandic court order.
- Area of work and a short bio (optional).
- No document check is performed — the editorial stance trusts the signer.
What happens to your debut article
The first article stays as a draft until your next visit. If you prefer to publish it right away, use the "Publish draft" button on the article page after you save. From the second article on, publishing is immediate.
You may sign with a pseudonym
The byline can be a pseudonym — a legitimate protection for those who need it. Your real identity is safeguarded and only released by Icelandic court order (Statute art. 9.2).
Article license
Insubornável original pieces are published under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 (Attribution · Non-Commercial · No Derivatives). You keep authorship; the site publishes with credit.
