Vladimir Putin congratulated the AvtoVAZ team on the launch of mass production of the new flagship model from the domestic Lada brand – the Azimut crossover.
The message reads, in part:

I would like to acknowledge in particular that this is an entirely domestic development; its production will make a significant contribution to the further development of our automotive industry and to strengthening its position and competitiveness, and will stand as a testament to the substantial industrial and technological potential of AvtoVAZ.
I am confident that, drawing on industry best practice and modern standards of quality, reliability and vehicle safety, you will continue to expand your product lineup and bring innovative, promising projects to fruition, earning the appreciation of your many customers and partners.”
