The EBC may utilize part of this system's capacity to improve the storage, organization, cataloging, and distribution of digital media files. The new structure will also allow the Common Platform to integrate content from Tela Brasil, a public and free streaming service dedicated to Brazilian audiovisual production.
According to the Director of Operations, Engineering, and Technology at EBC, Bráulio Ribeiro, the resources will be fundamental to put the Common Platform into large-scale operation. "The project as a whole encompasses data centers, servers, load balancing, and all the necessary technological layer to support tens of thousands of simultaneous accesses and integrate different content and services," he explains. "It is a structure designed to ensure capacity, availability, and scalability for TV 3.0," he concludes.
The expectation is that the infrastructure will be fully operational by July 2027, strengthening the role of EBC as an orchestrator of the technological transformation of Brazilian open television and contributing to the consolidation of TV 3.0 in the country.
