Senator Damares Alves (Republicanos-DF) wants to make it a crime to expose the bodies of the deceased inappropriately in virtual environments. A bill (PL 5.453/2026) proposes a sentence of one to four years in prison for anyone who produces or disseminates images of this nature in an offensive or degrading manner. The text also defines the crime of necrophilia (the practice of sex with cadavers or human mortal remains).
