Hello everyone! I have been working on GPU reset recovery in Mutter over the summer, under the mentorship of Jonas Ådahl, Robert Mader, and Carlos Garnacho.
Previously, a GPU reset would bring down the entire session, crashing or freezing it. That is no longer the case: Mutter now detects a reset and recovers automatically, restoring windows, background, cursors, and text, all instantly.
