Audio: Pix, cryptocurrencies and digital financial security are on the agenda

The Senate is reviewing several proposals related to financial transactions carried out through virtual means, such as Pix transactions, investments in cryptocurrencies, and projects that regulate fintechs and combat monetary fraud. Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) 65/2023 includes Pix in the Constitution and is ready for voting in the Plenary. The bill (PL) 4.932/2023, which is awaiting voting in the Committee on Economic Affairs (CAE), amends the legal framework for cryptocurrencies in Brazil, to increase investor security and impose new rules on virtual asset brokers, while PL 3.572/2026 creates rules for fintechs. The bill (PL) 2.006/2026 aims to combat accounts used to move money from scams and other crimes.
