Our traffic department conducted a targeted inspection at Kalvebod Brygge on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately, 16 drivers were issued fines for using handheld mobile phones while driving. Apart from a fine of 1,500 DKK, they also face a clip on their driving record and a 1,000 DKK contribution to the Victims' Fund. Drive a car, keep your phone away.

We have received several reports in recent days from citizens in Copenhagen who are receiving disturbing calls from a person who, in several instances, calls himself Hassan. It appears that the perpetrator is attempting to manipulate victims into transferring money through various scams. If you receive such a call, we advise you to end the conversation and contact the police on 1-1-4. Several victims have understandably been very distressed, and it is a matter we take seriously and investigate thoroughly.

Following an investigation into a case of possession of military-grade weapons, a 23-year-old man with Somali citizenship was detained yesterday. The man was found in possession of a large knife, and during a subsequent search at his address in Copenhagen's Northwest district, two firearms, ammunition, and a substantial cash amount were discovered. All were seized, and the 23-year-old man is due to appear in court today for a preliminary hearing at Copenhagen City Court's Western Prison branch.

We are still on the scene with fire and rescue services, as well as technicians at Bella Center, where a leak of ammonia has been detected. We have no information that anyone has been injured. As part of the response, one of the buildings has been evacuated. We will remain on site for some time yet.
