The Judicial Police, through the Northern Directorate, arrested yesterday, with the collaboration of the Prison Guard Corps, a 35-year-old woman, suspected of being the author of a drug trafficking crime, who was attempting to introduce drugs into the Porto Prison.
The case involves the detection of a suspicious package, which the woman had hidden in her body, in order to deliver it to her inmate partner during the visiting period.
Inside the package, investigators detected approximately 50 grams of cannabis resin and a sheet of paper impregnated with a synthetic cannabinoid, with strong hallucinogenic properties.
The arrested woman will be presented to the competent judicial authority for the first judicial interrogation and the application of appropriate coercive measures.
