On Friday morning, the Federal Chancellor visits the Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics (IHP) in Frankfurt/Oder. At the outset, Chancellor Merz discusses with the President of the Leibniz Community, Professor Schmidt, and the Managing Director of the IHP, Professor Kahmen, about the work of the Leibniz Research Community in general and the IHP in particular. Subsequently, he informs himself during a tour of the labs about the latest chip research and practical application examples. The tour is open to the press. Afterwards, short press statements by the Leibniz President, the IHP Managing Director, and the Chancellor are planned.
