The return match will be next Thursday, October 22, at 9:30 PM (Brasília time), at the Maracanã, also with National Radio coverage. A new draw in Rio de Janeiro takes the qualification decision to penalties. A simple win is enough for either side.

Estudiantes had control of the attacking actions throughout the game, but they were not very efficient. The Argentine team had 21 shots. Only six of them were on Agustín Rossi's goal.
The only clear chance came in the 32nd minute of the first half. Inside the box, striker Tiago Palácios seized on a poor header by Léo Ortiz and hit a cross. The ball went past Rossi, but not also defender Léo Pereira, who saved it just before the line.

Palmeiras in the lead
In the other semifinal, Palmeiras took the lead over Fluminense. Even playing at the Maracanã, the Verdão defeated the tricolores 2-1 last Wednesday, April 14, with goals from center forward Flaco López and midfielder Marlon Freitas - attacker Wesley Natã scored for the hosts. The match was broadcast byNational Radio.
The Alviverde has the advantage of a draw in the return game next Wednesday (21), at 9:30 PM, at the Nubank Park - National Radio will broadcast the match in São Paulo. The Cariocas need to win by two goals or more to advance to the final still in regular time. If they win by one goal and tie the aggregate score, the decision will be in the penalty shootout.

If Estudiantes progresses, they could repeat the 1968 final if their opponent is the green team. In that instance, the Argentines took the title.
