The Judicial Police, through the Criminal Investigation Department of Setúbal, in close collaboration with the PSP of Setúbal, detained, without a flagrant crime, two suspects, aged 23 and 25, strongly indicted for the commission of a qualified homicide crime, in an attempted form, against a 17-year-old young man.
The facts occurred on the evening of May 11th, at 10:30 p.m., in the city of Setúbal, in public space, arising during a conflict stemming from the sale of a motorcycle to the victim by one of the suspects.
As the young man was disputing the terms of the deal, claiming the motorcycle was defective, one of the suspects struck him on the head with a stone from the pavement, while the other stabbed him in the left ear with the blade of a knife, causing him severe bleeding and putting his life at risk.
After the assaults, the two suspects fled, to an unknown location, leaving the victim abandoned and motionless at the scene of the attack.
The detained individuals will be presented for the first judicial interrogation, with a view to applying the appropriate coercive measures.
The inquiry is being led by the Setúbal Section of the DIAP (Department of Investigative Actions and Processes) of Setúbal.
